A100P – Gamejam Project

Wanting to try a new challenge I joined up with some of my friends & colleagues to take part in the 47th Ludum Dare gamejam. The four of us decided on roles at the start of the 48-hour period and began creating a game around the theme being “Stuck in a loop”.

We brainstormed ideas together and decided upon a cleaning robot stuck on a spaceship on a loop of cleaning. With the goal being to break his loop and run away from his duties to a better life.

I did all the 3D modelling, textures & UI in the game, from the Robot, the walls, and even some pizza boxes. Having never used it before, I learnt Blender as I went to create the assets we needed.

The UI was very minimal and consisted of some various emoticons for the robot to use, as well as the menu screens. I also had to source royalty free sound and music.

It was engaging challenge working withing a time limit of 48 hours, but we did it.

The playable version of A100P can be found here.
